Antonio Brown's future in the NFL is already murky — at best — and the prospects of him returning to the league could have taken another hit on Tuesday. One of Brown's attorneys withdrew from the civil case just one day before a court deadline, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
One of free-agent WR Antonio Brown’s attorneys, Carson Hancock, withdrew tonight from the civil case filed by a woman who has accused Brown of rape and sexual assault – one day before a judge’s deadline for Brown to turn over text messages and other evidence.

Carson Hancock, one of Brown's attorneys has been representing the free-agent wideout in his sexual-assault case since last September. Antonio Brown was accused of sexual assault by his former trainer, Britney Taylor, in September of 2019.
In addition to the sexual-assault case, Hancock helped represent Antonio Brown in his case involving a moving-truck driver. According to Pelissero, Hancock and Brown didn't seem to be on the same page, leading to his withdrawal.
Hancock — who also represented Brown in his felony burglary and assault/battery case — cited “irreconcilable differences” for his decision to withdraw from the civil case. The trial is set for December. Brown is serving an eight-game NFL suspension for two unrelated matters.

Ever since the league began conducting an investigation on the situation, people that worked for Antonio Brown have been severing ties with him. Back in January, Brown's agent — Drew Rosenhaus — ended his partnership with the All-Pro wide receiver, saying that he needed to get help.
Then, in February, similar to Hancock, the lawyer aiding Antonio Brown in the sexual-assault case withdrew from the case. With Hancock now leaving his side in the case, Brown will now have to find a new legal team.
The decision by Hancock comes just one day before Antonio Brown was expected to share text messages and other evidence in the case. While the case awaits a verdict, the NFL has already suspended him eight games for the 2020 season, which could be extended depending on the resolution of the incident.
Seeing that he continues to have trouble finding people to represent him, Antonio Brown's chances of returning to the NFL look even bleaker.
