Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick was the talk of the town in Ann Arbor, Michigan Saturday afternoon. Kaepernick hosted a throwing exhibition for 2022 NFL Draft prospects and stole the spotlight with his super-polished, long-range throws.

The quarterback put on a show for the NFL scouts in attendance. However, they weren't the only ones focused on Kaepernick's performance. Iconic film director Spike Lee was there, working on his documentary surrounding the athlete/civil rights activist.

Sports Illustrated tweeted Lee's appearance at Michigan Stadium Saturday afternoon.

According to Sports Illustrated's article, the “multipart documentary” on the former NFL quarterback, is a collaboration between Lee and ESPN Films.

The article also stated that the documentary will also feature Kaepernick's personal footage to capture “a full, first-person account of his journey.”

Kaepernick threw alongside 2022 prospects to showcase his talents in the halftime exhibition. The quarterback last played in the NFL back in 2016. He became a free agent following the 2015-2016 season and hasn't had a contract in the league since.

Kaepernick is actively proving to the league that he has what it takes to make a positive impact on an NFL roster, despite his grievance against the league filed in October of 2017.
