Tom Brady will make his highly-anticipated debut as FOX's lead analyst later this fall. Brady inked a massive 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX a few years ago and will finally take them up on their offer. Brady recently shared his thoughts on this new opportunity.

Brady appeared on The Insiders on NFL+ and spoke with Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo about several topics, including the FOX gig.

Tom Pelissero asked Brady how he would manage his high standard for football against what he is covering in each of his games. Pelissero questioned if Brady would be critical of other players, holding them to Brady's own standards.

“I'd say that's a point that I have to continue to develop and learn and understand,” Brady said. “I do, a lot like [Peyton Manning], I have a very high expectation for how I think the game needs to be played.”

Brady is referring to Manning's behavior on his ESPN Monday Night Football stream, where he sometimes gets irate when teams and QBs make poor decisions. It arguably makes those broadcasts much more entertaining and informative.

“I want to see the game grow, I want to see the game succeed. I want to see it better than ever,” Brady said. “How can I play a role in impacting that? I can give my own opinion and if people want to listen, great. If they don't, that's okay.”

Pelissero eventually requested that Brady “cut it loose” and be authentic to who he truly is, for the sake of the broadcast.

Brady warned that Pelissero may get exactly what he's asking for and then some.

“Next year you might say, Tom, tone it down man, you’re being a jerk out there. Let these guys grow and develop.”

Tom Brady will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer once he becomes eligible to enter Canton. However, his former NFL team recently gave him their highest honors.

The New England Patriots recently inducted Tom Brady into their Hall of Fame.

The event featured several former Patriots players who were close to Brady over the years. There were also a handful of celebrities in attendance. Jay-Z performed live for the crowd of nearly 60,000 fans.

At the ceremony, Patriots owner Robert Kraft announced two addition honors for the legendary QB. The Patriots will retire jersey number 12, which Brady wore for the team for nearly 20 years. They will also erect a 12-foot status in Brady's honor outside of Gillette Stadium. The statue will reportedly be unveiled during the 2024 NFL season.

Brady's former coach Bill Belichick made an appearance and spoke glowingly about his former QB.

“Thank you for all that you've done for us,” Belichick said during his speech. “Thank you for all you've done for me. And thank you for the example and model that you've been for all of us, on a daily basis, for 20 years. You're unbelievable.”

Brady responded with some classy words of his own for his former coach.

“Thank you for your tireless commitment to develop and push me to be my very best. It wasn't me, it wasn't you, it was us,” Brady said. “Let me make this crystal clear — there is no coach in the world I would rather play for than Bill Belichick.”

Brady ended his the evening with the perfect statement.

“I am eternally grateful. I am Tom Brady. And I am a Patriot.”
