The Cleveland Browns and the Atlanta Falcons will look to close out their respective NFL preseason campaigns against each other Saturday night. The Browns are having quite a preseason, and while these games are nothing but hyped-up scrimmages, their 2-0 record so far speaks a lot about their readiness for the regular season. It's the total opposite for the Falcons, who will be targeting a victory to avoid a winless preseason. With that said, it’s time to continue our NFL odds series and make a Browns-Falcons prediction and pick.

Here’s how the bookmakers have set the lines for this Browns-Falcons preseason game.

NFL Odds: Browns-Falcons Odds

Cleveland Browns -5.5 (-110)

Atlanta Falcons +5.5 (-110)

Why the Browns Could Win

The Browns are among the teams expected to make loud noises this coming regular season, but they have already started collecting wins in the preseason. Following their 23-13 victory in Week 1 of the preseason against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road, the Browns scored another win by taking down the New York Giants last Sunday, 17-13.

The Browns covered the spread in the Jaguars game but failed to do it again against the Giants. Kyle Lauletta and Case Keenum split duties under center against the Giants, and the two could share the snaps at the quarterback position again in Week 3, though a Baker Mayfield appearance shouldn’t be discounted.

In any case, the Browns’ offense must be excited to face Atlanta’s defense that had just been steamrolled by the Miami Dolphins in Week 2. The Falcons are surrendering 30.0 points per game so far in the regular season, with the Dolphins racking up 422 total yards and five touchdowns against Atlanta last week. Cleveland has won eight of its last 10 preseason games, while also going 6-4 ATS during that stretch.

Let's now move on to the next section of this Browns-Falcons prediction.

Why the Falcons Could Win

Josh Rosen has just been signed by the Falcons to add depth to their quarterback pecking order that had just lost AJ McCarron for the rest of the year due to a torn ACL he sustained in Atlanta’s 37-17 road loss in Week 2. Rosen isn’t going to provide much for Atlanta, but that there’s a possibility that Atlanta will give him at least few snaps against the Browns.

You can say all you want about Rosen but between him and undrafted Feleipe Franks, it’s the former UCLA Bruins star who’s got the edge in terms of experience. Barring injury or a catastrophic performance in practice and/or in Week 3 of the preseason, the backup role behind Matt Ryan is for Rosen to lose.

It doesn’t sound comforting for the Falcons to have Rosen and Franks battling for the QB2 spot, so it will be up to Atlanta’s defense to make things happen against the Browns. While it hasn’t looked rosy on that end of the field for Atlanta, the defense, playing second and third-stringers still managed to look good in some moments in Week 2 against Miami starters.

Final Browns-Falcons Prediction & Pick

The Browns have the momentum and appear to play with much more cohesion on both sides of the ball than Atlanta. Cleveland is getting the public money as a road team, though, which might be a good sign for you to go against the flow of action and take on the Falcons to cover. It should also be noted here that the Falcons are 12-5-ATS in their last 17 games when they were the underdogs at home.

FINAL PICK: Falcons +5 (-110)
