The Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Panthers will matchup in an NFC matchup on Sunday. It's time to continue our NFL odds series and make an Eagles-Panthers prediction and pick.

The Panthers (3-1) will look to get back into the win column after losing their first game of the season to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. The Eagles, on the flip side, will be looking to avoid a 1-4 start to their season after losing their third straight game to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the Eagles-Panthers odds for this Sunday matchup.

NFL Odds: Eagles-Panthers Odds

Carolina Panthers -3 (-110)

Philadelphia Eagles +3 (-110)

Why The Eagles Can Cover The Spread

The Eagles have really struggled since their Week 1 win over the Atlanta Falcons. In three straight losses, Philadelphia has given up 100 points, including over 40 in each of their past two games. Offensively the Eagles have been erratic over the past few weeks, as injuries on the offensive line have left Jalen Hurts trying to escape the pocket far too often.

The Panthers could be getting Christian McCaffrey this weekend, which will be a tough test for the Eagles reeling defense. The Chiefs rushed for 200 yards vs. the Eagles last week, with the Cowboys rushing for 160 yards vs. them the week before, so the Eagles defense could be in store for another long day vs. the Panthers this weekend if McCaffrey suits up.

Philadelphia's path to a cover and a win Sunday starts with keeping the Panthers run game in check and their ability to protect Hurts when they're on offense.

Why The Panthers Can Cover The Spread

Sam Darnold has looked like a new quarterback with the Panthers. He's been poised, careful with the ball and added a bit of rushing element to his game. Darnold leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns with five through Week 4. That pace will obviously probably wane, but he's been a nice read-option threat for the Panthers in the red zone. Getting back McCaffrey will give the Eagles defense a whole other set of headaches, and even if he's unable to go, rookie Chuba Hubbard has looked solid in his stead.

D.J. Moore looks like maybe the most underrated receiver in the NFL, as he's tied for second in the league in catches and ranks fourth in receiving yards. Moore leads the NFL with eight receptions of at least 20 yards. Carolina's offensive attack is well-rounded and their defense was among the league's best before giving up 36 points in Dallas in Week 4.

If the Panthers defense can rebound in Week 5, they should have a great shot to pick up another win and cover vs. the Eagles.

Final Eagles-Panthers Prediction & Pick

The Eagles seem to be reeling, and still a bit banged up on the offensive line. The Panthers hit a bump in the road last week, but before that had looked like the surprise team of the NFC. Look for Carolina to get back on track with a cover over the Eagles in Week 5.

FINAL EAGLES-PANTHERS PREDICTION & PICK: Panthers -3 (-110)
