The Green Bay Packers and Cincinnati Bengals will play in an inter-conference matchup on Sunday. It's time to continue our NFL odds series and make a Packers-Bengals prediction and pick.

The Packers look to be rounding into form, as they've now won three straight games to move to 3-1 on the season. The Bengals are also surprisingly 3-1 in their first four games after a Week 3 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bengals and Jaguars played last Thursday night, so they will have a three-day rest advantage on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the Packers-Bengals odds for this Sunday matchup.

NFL Odds: Packers-Bengals Odds

Green Bay Packers -2.5 (-110)

Cincinnati Bengals +2.5 (-110)

Over 51 points (-105)

Why The Packers Can Cover The Spread

The Packers are still the better team here it seems like. Joe Burrow is doing a good job leading the Bengals so far in 2021, but Rodgers is still one of the best to ever play the position and the 2020 NFL MVP looks to be rounding into form more and more each week. The Bengals have beat the Steelers (1-3), Jaguars (0-4) and Vikings (1-3). It's possible they are not quite as good as their record at this point and have merely beat below average football team, but wins are still wins.

Green Bay has Super Bowl aspirations with Rodgers still at such a high level, while the Bengals are trying to get back into the postseason. There is plenty of time left in the season, but the Packers will be locked in looking to continue their winning streak and establish themselves as one of the teams to beat in the NFC.

Aaron Jones and Davante Adams will be tough to hold in check as always, with Rodgers calling the shots and putting his weapons in advantageous situations. The Packers have the potential to be one of the best offenses in football again in 2021, and it may not be fun to be a defense in their path while they are healthy and riding a three-game win streak.

Why The Bengals Can Cover The Spread

Burrow and rookie WR Ja'Marr Chase had rekindled their LSU connection from the jump this season, and it has been fun to watch. Chase has big play ability few guys around the league possess. However, standout running back Joe Mixon went down with injury which hurts the Bengals rushing attack. The Packers have a sound pass defense, and may be able to key in on the pass in the absence of Mixon.

The Bengals will need to find a way to run the ball at least a little bit with backup Samaje Perine, in an effort to keep the chains moving so Rodgers spends as much time as possible on the sideline. If the Bengals are able to run the ball and sustain drives, they'll have a decent shot at covering the spread and winning the game outright.

Final Packers-Bengals Prediction & Pick

Rodgers is hot right now, and that's a scary thing to bet against. The Bengals may be in store for a bit of regression as a young team who got off to a hot start to the season. Ride with the Packers to cover the slim spread on the road.
