Why The Rams Could Win

The Rams are having a great season so far. They are 4-1 and their only loss was to a very good Cardinals team. Last week's matchup against Seattle was close for a bit, but Los Angeles managed to pull ahead and secure the win. The Rams are looking to make a playoff push this year and so far they are showing that they can do it.

Leading this 4-1 Rams team is quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford has been having an amazing season. The 13th year veteran has thrown for nearly 1,600 yards, 12 touchdowns, and only 3 interceptions. The Rams have emerged as the clear winners of the trade that sent former Los Angeles quarterback, Jared Goff, to Detroit. Matthew Stafford is finally in a system that works for him and it is showing. He will look to carry on this momentum into a matchup against a New York defense that allows over 400 yards of offense to opposing teams.

The receiving core in Los Angeles has also been phenomenal. Cooper Kupp is having one of the best seasons of his career. The fifth year receiver has emerged as a star and has been troubling defenses all season. Through five games, Kupp has over 500 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns. Lining up on the other side is Robert Woods. Woods is coming off his best game of the season. In Week 5, Woods exploded for 12 receptions and 150 yards. The Los Angeles receivers are hard for any team to contain. Facing a weak New York defense, Los Angeles should have no problem throwing the ball and making big plays.

The Giants head into Week 6 with a 1-4 record. They managed to notch their first victory on the road against New Orleans in Week 4. They will be looking to return home and get their fans another win in Week 6. The Giants will definitely be willing to take risks in this game. They know that they have a tough matchup in Los Angeles. Aggressive play calling and risk taking will be their best shot at taking down the Rams.

One bright spot that has emerged for New York is rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney. Toney is questionable heading into this matchup. If the young receiver plays then he will look to continue his momentum from Week 5. Last week against the Cowboys Toney exploded for 10 receptions and 189 yards. The young receiver showed why he was worth a first-round pick. If Kadarius Toney can keep this up then he could give the Giants offense the spark it needs to get going.

Last week was very tough for New York, but their other losses haven't been nearly as decisive. In Week 2, the Giants lost by only one point to The Washington Football Team. Week 3 went down to the wire and New York lost to The Falcons by a field goal. This Giants team has been competitive and has the ability to ramp it up. They know they face a tough opponent in Los Angeles. New York will do everything they can to get a victory at home.

Final Rams-Giants Prediction & Pick

Los Angeles is a much better team than New York. The Rams have legitimate playoff hopes while the Giants are mostly playing for pride. The Giants could very feasibly lose this game by two or more scores. Last week the Giants suffered devastating injuries. Daniel Jones and Kadarius Toney are both questionable for Week 6. Saquon Barkley and Kenny Golladay are both doubtful. The Giants were already not great, with the addition of injuries to their best players the Rams should have no problem winning. Pick the Rams to win and cover and likely dominate New York in Week 6.

FINAL RAMS-GIANTS PICK: Los Angeles Rams -9.5 (-110)
