Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has his doubters. Whether he's too small, too inexperienced, or not good enough, they are there and are loud. But, Antonio Cromartie — a former Cardinal cornerback — isn't one of them. On FOX's “Undisputed,” Cromartie gave his opinion on Murray.

“He can definitely be a star. You see the flick of his wrist? He was throwing like he was 6-4. I mean, he's throwing from one hash to the other sideline. Out routes, timing, get it out of there, zip it. He was out there zipping.”

Cromartie also commented on how his head coach, Kliff Kingsbury, is scheming Murray.

“The best thing that I think Kliff is doing is that he's getting the quarterback outside the pocket too. He's finding those dink and dunk passes where everything is in front of him. It gives him [Murray] the confidence now ‘I can play at this level and do the things I need to do.'”

Cromartie talked about Murray after his preseason debut on Thursday, where he played one drive. In that drive, the former Oklahoma Sooner threw for 44 yards on seven attempts with one incompletion. Cromartie believes Murray's first game was a confidence booster.

“I think, right now, all this game was it was a confidence booster. But, he can go out there and throw the ball, he can get his reads, get his reads, get his looks, and get the ball out.”

Murray's first NFL action may have been a confidence booster, and the rest of the preseason may be too. But, come September 8th, versus the Detroit Lions, the NFL world, including Cromartie, will get to see a Murray playing meaningful — not just confidence-boosting — snaps.
