Kliff Kingsbury knows that the arrival of Madden NFL 20 has football and gaming fans giddy to try new players on teams and let loose on the virtual gridiron.
It also means we get pixelated portrayals of players and coaches, and not everybody is too pleased with how they're looking in the video game.
The Arizona Cardinals' new head coach Kliff Kingsbury, hired in January after six years with NCAA program Texas Tech, took shots at Madden 20, telling reporters on Tuesday he saw a photo of his virtual self and was repelled by it.
Fielding a question about the perceived knock on Coach Kingsbury's offense's rating, the newly minted NFL head coach brought up another gripe.
Via Charean Williams in NBC Sports' ProFootballTalk:
“It's funny you bring that up, because I had seen a bunch of guys kind of getting in their feelings about their rating,” Kingsbury said, via Darren Urban of the team website. “And then someone sent me a picture of what I look like on there, so I want to get adjusted on ‘looks' rating. I look like I'm on ‘The Walking Dead' in that picture.
“So yeah, I apologize for any of those players that I thought, ‘Hey it's just a video game, why are you upset?' Because I saw my picture on there, and I'm not pleased with where we're at. We have to work on that.”

Kingsbury makes reference to the common grievance among professional players this time of year as Madden gets released with their individual rating.
