The 2018 season is nearing the halfway point, which has given a clear picture of what teams could be headed toward a disappointing campaign falling well out of the playoff picture. With that in mind, BetOnline.ag has posted the betting odds for the team that will wind up with the worst record in the league with the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants are vying to be the favorites for the top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Cardinals have quickly seen their season go south with their struggles starting to mount on both sides of the ball that has pushed them to drop six out of their first seven games of the year. Much of this has been fueled by their lack of offensive production that has put rookie quarterback Josh Rosen in a tough spot where he has had much difficulty finding any success on the field.

In his first four starts, Rosen has only topped 200 passing yards once while his struggles throwing the ball have become more prominent over the last two games, committing four interceptions that saw the bulk of that come from the brutal 45-10 loss to the Denver Broncos last Thursday, where he had completed 21-of-39 passes for 194 yards with one touchdown with three interceptions. Two of those being returned for pick-sixes. Beyond that, the Cardinals rank 31st in the league with 13.1 points per game, last in rushing, and 31st in passing.

Meanwhile, the Giants have had their fair share of issues on the field that have also stemmed primarily from their offense. Quarterback Eli Manning has struggled to lead scoring drives that have been contributed greatly by his porous play and the lack of consistent protection from the offensive line. All of this has pushed them to be 27th in the league with just 19.6 points per game while surpassing 30 points just once this season.

It is clear that the Cardinals and Giants have a tremendous amount of issues that should continue to falter them in the second half of the season with both likely finishing in the bottom of the league in the standings, making them prime candidates to get a top prospects in the NFL Draft.
