Swirling rumors recently circulated that the Atlanta Falcons will look to trade either quarterback Matt Ryan or wide receiver Julio Jones at the upcoming trade deadline. The organization eventually debunked the talks and will stick with the players that they currently have in its locker room.

Falcons WR1 Julio Jones also reaffirmed his commitment to the organization and remained adamant not to seek a relocation in the upcoming trade deadline amidst the team's struggles in the early stages of the season.

“No,” Jones said, via the team’s website. “I play football. I know who I am, I know what I got going on. I know what I mean to this team.”

The Falcons have failed to attain relevant success in 2020 thus far. The organization previously parted ways with their fifth-year head coach in Dan Quinn along with former general manager Thomas Dimitroff after a rocky start to the season.

Their hopes were eventually squandered after being dealt with another loss on a tight encounter against the Detroit Lions which concluded on a 23-22 ending. The Falcons also don't have luck on their side as they find themselves in a stacked NFC South division led by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints, which makes a comeback more improbable.

With a 1-6 record to start their 2020 campaign, the Falcons are looking like a team ready to look past this season and focus on the future instead. The upcoming trade deadline will see which pieces will the front office move in order to salvage a dismal campaign from completely going down the drain.
