De'Anthony Thomas spent eight games with the Baltimore Ravens in 2019, but apparently they saw enough of him to bring him back for another season. According to the Ravens' official Twitter account, Baltimore has re-signed Thomas.

Before joining the Ravens, Thomas spent his first five and a half seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. But with the emergence of rookie Mecole Hardman, the Chiefs no longer needed Thomas to return kicks.
Therefore, last October, Kansas City released Thomas and gave him an opportunity to sign elsewhere. Just a couple of weeks following his release, the Ravens signed Thomas to return kicks for them for the rest of the season.
Despite being a wide receiver on the depth chart, Thomas has spent most of his career as a kick and punt returner. As a matter of fact, he's combined for only 65 receptions for 509 yards and four touchdowns in his six seasons in the NFL.
This past season, Thomas returned 13 punts for 93 yards for the Ravens. In addition, the Oregon product finished with 166 yards in 10 returns in just eight games with Baltimore.
After a decent campaign with the Ravens, the team has elected to sign him to a one-year deal through the 2020 season. The specifics of Thomas' new contract with Baltimore remains to be seen. However, considering that he's primarily a special-teams contributor, it likely isn't an expensive deal.
With John Harbaugh being a former special teams coordinator, he understands the importance of special teams players. For the time being, it appears that Thomas has found himself a new home in Baltimore.
