After cutting Alex Collins early last month, the Baltimore Ravens are dangerously thin at running back. It is almost a guarantee that they will add at least one more by the time September rolls around.
If the Ravens are willing to open their pockets, there are plenty of quality running backs available in free agency. But instead, it appears that Baltimore has their sights set on an interesting target. Via Pro Football Talk on Twitter:
RB Eddie Lacy worked out for Ravens today per source. He was out of football in 2018.

Eddie Lacy, 28, did not play last season. His last regular time came in 2016 with the Green Bay Packers, but his season was cut short due to a foot injury and he played in only five games. For his career, Lacy has totaled 3,614 rushing yards, averaging 4.2 yards per attempt.
Article Continues BelowThe Ravens have not had a single consistent running back in years. Last season, Collins was joined by youngsters Gus Edwards and Kenneth Dixon. None of the three set the world on fire, and if Baltimore is to contend again in 2019 they will need a stronger option.
Mark Ingram should be that guy, but they could use more depth behind him.
There is still a strong possibility that Baltimore will target the position in the upcoming draft. They have the 22nd selection in the first round and their figures to be plenty of talent left over by then. University of Alabama upperclassmen Josh Jacobs and Damien Harris would be strong choices, and could go a long way toward revitalizing the Ravens' offense.
Last season, Baltimore went 10-6 and finished first in the AFC North. However, they were bumped from the playoffs in the first round by the Los Angeles Chargers. They will look to make a deeper run next season.
