Thought to be a first-round pick by many, Michigan linebacker David Ojabo ultimately fell to the second round in the 2022 NFL Draft after tearing his Achilles at his Pro Day in Ann Arbor. Nevertheless, the Baltimore Ravens still managed to snatch the heavy-hitting Ojabo, pairing him with the brother of his college coach, John Harbaugh.
While an Achilles injury usually requires a long rehab period, we saw what Cam Akers was able to do last season, returning from that same injury in a matter of just 173 days. Well, the Ravens are taking that same mentality with Ojabo and believe he could be on the field again before 2023 rolls around. The linebacker also revealed he's already on his way to recovery.

“So far no pain, good flexibility, already biking,” Ojabo said, via Alex Prewitt of SI.com. “Cam Akers busted it and played in five and a half months. That lands me at August, September, maybe even October. Season’s still going. So, yeah, I anticipate playing.”
Everyone recovers at a different rate, but Ojabo and the Ravens are feeling extremely optimistic. Mentality is everything though and David Ojabo clearly has the right mindset right now. That's huge. Needless to say, he'll add a huge defensive boost to the Ravens.
