Eric Weddle was once one of the best players for the San Diego Chargers for many years, but an ugly divorce after the 2015 season saw Weddle go to the Baltimore Ravens. This weekend the Ravens and Chargers will face off for the first time since Weddle left and although Weddle said he will never forget what happened, he doesn't hold any grudges against his former team.
“When I retire, am I going to walk through the L.A. Chargers practice facility and say hi to everyone? Probably not,” Weddle told ESPN. “I definitely will never forget what happened and what they said and did to me and my family. But I’m not going to hold any grudges.”
Weddle was a fan favorite during his time with the Chargers but it quickly fell apart when he was fined $10,000 by the team for staying on the field during halftime to watch his daughter perform. The situation became more ugly and he realized his time was over after the 2015 season when then-coach Mike McCoy asked him which team he was going to play for the final season.

I didn’t play for that coach. I know a few of the players that I was teammates with. That’s when they were the San Diego Chargers, not the L.A. Chargers. I look at them as a different team.”
The Ravens are going to need to Weddle to play well against a good Chargers offense as they try to keep the playoff hopes alive.
