Baltimore Ravens backup running back Gus Edwards is ready to step in for Mark Ingram if he isn't able to go against the Tennessee Titans on Saturday. After Ingram suffered a calf injury during Week 16, all signs pointed towards Ingram being ready to go for the divisional round.
Ingram is still considered day-to-day but didn't practice on Wednesday, which can't be a good sign for his status for Saturday. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Ingram was basically up to full speed last week, but he felt some tightness, so he tried to ease back a bit.
Rapoport did add there is still a chance Ingram could play for the Ravens. If he can't go, it will be Edwards who gets the start, and he is ready for his chance.

Last season the Ravens had fumbling issues during their playoff loss, and Edwards knows that's something he needs not to let happen again.
“With our offense running the ball so much, you definitely have to protect the football,” Edwards said. “We got a taste of an L [last year] and we don’t want to taste that again. We feel like we’re definitely a better team. We have that under our belt now.”
Having both running backs healthy would be ideal, but Edwards is a great fallback option for the Ravens.
