Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown is ready to go, as the young player is currently slated to appear in the Ravens opening game against the Miami Dolphins this weekend.

According to Ravens coach John Harbaugh (via Pro Football Talk), Brown will play in the game against the Dolphins despite missing practice on Friday. Although many assumed Brown might miss the week due to his missed practice, it was later revealed that Harbaugh had simply decided to give Brown a day off as the team continues to monitor Brown’s surgically-repaired foot.

Brown’s offseason didn’t get off to a great start, as he spent most of the early parts of it recovering from Lisfranc surgery that stemmed from a foot injury Brown suffered in the Big 12 Championship Game last year.

After being in a boot for some time, Brown shed that and began to join in on activities with the Ravens last month, and participated throughout training camp with the team. During his preseason with the Ravens, Brown played in two games, hauling in three catches for 17 yards while also muffing two punts in return duties.

Now seemingly healthy and ready to play in meaningful NFL games, the Ravens will likely be looking to Brown to make a big impact once he steps onto the field. After being selected with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Brown will look to help second-year quarterback Lamar Jackson as the Ravens attempt to the the next step in their hopes for a Super Bowl run.
