Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is used to getting his way on NFL fields across the country but it seems as though we've finally found something that can stop the all-world athlete.
Earlier this week, The 2019 MVP was adamant on pushing through with his annual “Funday with LJ,” an event he started two years ago. The league's passing touchdown leader was considering all precautions before his event but ultimately, Jackson has chosen to call the event off.
According to the Baltimore Sun‘s Jonas Shaffer, a spokesperson for the event confirmed that Jackson decided to cancel the event due to the number of people who had registered to attend. The City of Pompano beach, where “Funday with LJ” was scheduled to be held, had set a limit for the number of people who could attend Jackson's event. Rather than turn people away on site, Jackson chose to cancel the proceedings completely.
Due to the current pandemic, numerous planned occasions like Jackson's have been left on hold. This year would have marked the third installment for said affair. Meanwhile, Florida is one of the hot spots for the virus.
