Lamar Jackson was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. It was a move that excited a fan base desperate to see better production from the quarterback position.

According to a report from ESPN, Jackson is expected to make his first career start for the Ravens today against the Cincinnati Bengals in a game that is as close to a must-win situation as a team can be in at this point in the season.
Jackson is expected to start for the injured Joe Flacco in Sunday's critical game against the Cincinnati Bengals, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Flacco has been dealing with a hip injury that has not allowed him to get ready for this week's game. If the Ravens are unable to pick up a win this week, they will fall to 4-6 on the season.
Jackson has received very limited playing time so far this season. In the time that he has seen, he has completed 58.3 percent of his pass attempts for 87 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions. He has also run for 139 yards and a touchdown.
Fans in Baltimore could not be more excited to see what their rookie quarterback can do. It may not be a perfect scenario to throw a rookie out for his first start, but Jackson rising to the occasion may be what the Ravens need in order to get their season back on track.
Expect to see Jackson start today and it will be interesting to see what kind of game he has. If he has a big game and leads the Ravens to a victory, the quarterback situation in Baltimore could get interesting.
