Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is expected to play in Week 10 against the Cincinnati Bengals despite dealing with an illness, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Jackson missed practice on Thursday due to the illness, but it’s reportedly not serious enough to keep him from playing on Sunday.

Jackson and the Ravens are coming off a huge win last week as they beat the previously undefeated New England Patriots, 37-20. Jackson completed 17 of his 23 pass attempts for 163 yards and passing touchdown and also added 61 rushing yards with two rushing scores.

The Ravens are now 6-2 on the season and have a legitimate shot at securing a first-round bye in the playoffs.

That performance put Jackson’s name firmly in the shortlist of top MVP contenders halfway through the season. In eight games thus far, Jackson has thrown for 1,813 yards with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. He’s also rushed for 637 more yards with five rushing touchdowns.

Jackson should fancy his chances of adding more impressive numbers against the struggling Bengals, who are the only winless team left in the NFL at 0-8.

They've already decided to bench veteran Andy Dalton for this game in favor of rookie fifth-rounder Ryan Finley, who will be making his first career start.

The Ravens just faced the Bengals back in Week 6. Jackson went 21-of-33 for 236 yards and had a career-high 152 rushing yards with a rushing touchdown to lead Baltimore to a 23-17 win in Cincinnati.

Jackson and the Ravens will be looking to pick up a more comfortable win at home as they face the Bengals' rookie QB this time around.
