Star wideout Dez Bryant remains on the free-agent market weeks after his release from the Dallas Cowboys. He reportedly rejected a multi-year offer from the Baltimore Ravens, who then turned their attention to signing Willie Snead.

The Buffalo Bills have also been linked as a potential landing spot for Bryant. However, Bills GM Brandon Beane doesn’t sound as if he has plans to strongly pursue the big-name wideout.

“We’ll look at everything,” said Beane, per Chris Brown of the Bills’ official website. “We have looked at Dez on tape, but I wouldn’t take it any further and I don’t know where that would go. We’re looking to get better at all positions and receiver is one, so if we thought that was the right fit for us we would potentially pursue it.”

The Bills came into the offseason without much depth behind their top two wideouts, Kelvin Benjamin and Zay Jones. Even after adding veteran Jeremy Kerley and picking up Ray-Ray McCloud and Austin Proehl on Day 3 of the NFL Draft, they could still use more proven pass-catchers for their quarterback — whether that's AJ McCarron or No. 7 pick Josh Allen.

While Bryant is still a decent player who can be a productive contributor to his next team, it doesn’t appear as if Beane considers the former Cowboy an ideal fit in Buffalo. This makes sense given the skill sets of Benjamin and Jones. Both are similar to Bryant in that they mostly rely on their size and don’t get much separation. If the Bills are to target another receiver this offseason, they might be better off getting one with more speed to provide a different dimension to their receiving corps.

As for Bryant, his search for a new team continues with another potential destination most likely crossed off the board.
