The 2017 NFL season could not have ended any quicker for the Denver Broncos. With all the looming questions that await in the NFL offseason, it is without a doubt that the Broncos will look to shake things up.
Although most of their concerns are centered on the quarterback position, Denver will have some big decisions to make on the defensive end as well. Despite the disappointing 5-11 campaign this season, All-Pro cornerback Aqib Talib said he would like to retire with the Broncos during an appearance on Vic Lombardi's show on Altitude 950:

We got great memories — Super Bowl 50. Not even just the Super Bowl. Off the field, memories together. I love the guys on the team. I love the staff. I’d love to come back.”
Although his comments provide some reassurance for Broncos fans, he acknowledged that his future with the team is all but certain with the veteran fully aware of that fact. Talib carries a huge cap hit in 2018 which means he could be released to free up space for cornerback Bradley Roby.
It may come as a bit of a surprise to see a five-time Pro Bowler suddenly get axed after yet another excellent year. However, it seems Denver may be looking to take a more youthful approach on defense come next year by parting ways with the 32-year-old Talib.
