If you had Ryan Fitzpatrick as a player with random confidence coursing through his veins, you win a prize. According to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers gunslinger, the team is due for a winning streak? Why? Because why not?

“This league is kind of about getting on runs and unfortunately we went through a bad run for a little bit there,” Fitzpatrick said, via the Tampa Bay Times. “But if we can just continue to stack up some of these wins, you never know what’s going to happen. I know, I’m 100 percent positive, the belief in that locker room is that we can do it. We can continue to go out there and we’re talented enough to win these games. It’s not like we’re going into these games and we don’t have a shot at it. We’ve got some really good players here. It’s just a matter of me distributing the ball and getting them going and I think that confidence can turn into more wins.”

To be relatively fair, this wasn't Ryan Fitzpatrick claiming the Buccaneers were going to go on a winning streak because he's going to be behind center or anything.

Still, this is a funny thing to come out of his mouth when you consider he's been given chance after chance after chance, and the Harvard educated (LOL) gunslinger has as many playoff appearances as do people just trotting about city streets.

Tampa Bay should have been better this season. There's still some time left. Maybe, to be fair to veteran QB, the Bucs can turn it around.
