The Buffalo Bills are showing that they committed to protecting franchise quarterback Josh Allen as they re-sign offensive guard Quinton Spain to a three-year deal worth $15 million per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Prior to last season, Spain signed a one-year deal with the Bills to compete for a starting job alongside Jon Feliciano, Mitch Morse and Cody Ford.

Spain, a former undrafted prospect out of West Virginia has been able to make an impact throughout his first five seasons. After four seasons with the Tennessee Titans in which he started 38 of 40 games, the 6-foot-4, 330-pound offensive lineman started all 16 games for Buffalo.

Last season, the Bills ranked 15th in the NFL in terms of sacks allowed with 41. However, with Spain back for the foreseeable future, it should provide stability for Allen and the Buffalo backfield. The Bills also ranked 18th in the league in rushing touchdowns, 13th in yards per rush and 23rd in points per game.

As the offseason began, the 28-year-old expressed his desire to stay in Buffalo long-term and it seems like Spain will get his wish.

As a team, Buffalo enjoyed its first 10-win season since 1999 as they went 10-6, making the playoffs for the second time in the last three seasons. The Bills would ultimately lose to the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card game after blowing a 16-0 lead.
