Christian McCaffrey was able to make his return for the Carolina Panthers in Week 9 and he looked as dynamic as ever. Even though he's been hampered by injuries this season, McCaffrey is still breaking records with the Panthers.

In his first game back in action, McCaffrey carried the ball 18 times for 69 yards and a touchdown. The dual-threat back would also catch 10 passes for 82 yards and another touchdown in Carolina's narrow defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs.

By recording 10 receptions, McCaffrey is now the only running back in NFL history to total 10 or more receptions in a game 10 times. Furthermore, no other running back in history has more than six games of logging 10 or more receptions.

The running backs that have the most 10+ receptions games besides McCaffrey are LaDainian Tomlinson and Larry Centers, who both had six in their careers. However, an interesting tidbit for McCaffrey is that the Panthers are 1-9 in the games that he catches 10 or more passes in.

Due to a high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 2 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, McCaffrey missed over a month of football. Nevertheless, in his first game back, he looked fresh and was a key contributor in Carolina's offense as if he never left.

At the same time, he exited early in Sunday's contest with a shoulder injury and is considered day-to-day moving forward. It remains to be seen if he's able to suit up for the Panthers in their rematch with the Buccaneers.

While his status is uncertain in Week 10, Christian McCaffrey is still smashing NFL records despite him being limited this season.
