The Los Angeles Chargers are a team that seemed to have a bleak future after making the move from San Diego before the start of the 2017 NFL season. Philip Rivers, the face of the franchise for the past decade, was thought to have a little time left playing at a high level while the team wasn't exactly embraced by the city after an ugly divorce with San Diego.
Fast forward to Week 12, the Chargers are in the hunt for the playoffs after an impressive win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. Rivers, who had a flawless performance on the road, talked about the game as well as potentially having some more football left in him at 36 years old, via Dan Woike of the L.A. Times.

With Rivers letting it be known that he wasn't thrilled about the idea of moving to Los Angeles and having already played 13 seasons in the league, the end seemed to be drawing near for the veteran quarterback. The future was uncertain, to say the least for Rivers, but he now appears rejuvenated by the team's play.
The Chargers have won five of their last seven games after starting the season with four straight losses. Los Angeles may very well have a chance at the playoffs and the improved play of the team may be motivating Rivers to want to play a little while longer.
In the win over the Cowboys, Rivers threw for a season-high 434 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions as the Chargers cruised to a 28-6 victory over Dak Prescott and company.
