The Chicago Bears finally had a bit of an offensive breakthrough on Monday night (even if Mitchell Trubisky refused to characterize it as such), scoring 31 points in a 16-point victory over the Washington Redskins.

The win brought the Bears to 2-1 on the season, just in time for a Week 4 NFC North division showdown with the Minnesota Vikings.

Chicago is already 0-1 within its division as a result of a Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers, so it would really behoove the Bears to win this game, especially at home.

So, here are three burning questions for Chicago heading into Week 4.

3. Have the Bears Found Their Running Back?

I'll be honest: when the Bears signed Mike Davis earlier this offseason, I thought he would end up being the No. 1 back with Tarik Cohen getting the leftover carries.

But that has not been the case.

Rookie David Montgomery has taken over as Matt Nagy's clear favorite, as he has carried the ball 31 times over the last two weeks as opposed to just eight for Cohen and four for Davis.

Montgomery was particularly impressive on Monday evening, rushing for 67 yards on 13 attempts, good for a 5.2 yard per carry average.

It seems like Nagy has found his preferred halfback moving forward.

2. Where Is Anthony Miller?

The Bears' top two receivers coming into this season were Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel, but second-year wide out Anthony Miller was expected to play a larger role, especially after an impressive first half in 2018.

But where is he?

Miller has caught just two passes on five targets thus far this season and has been a forgotten man in Chicago's offense. I understand that an ankle injury in the preseason may have slowed him down, but he appears to be healthy now.

Is he just in the doghouse?

It's an odd situation, as Miller looked like he was about to become a crucial figure in the Bears' offense last year. Obviously, there is still time for him to become more involved, but it's looking more and more like he is an outsider.

1. Has Mitchell Trubisky Finally Broken Through?

After a rough first couple of weeks that had armchair general managers everywhere questioning how in the world Chicago could have drafted Trubisky over Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson two years ago, Trubisky responded by completing 25 of his 31 passes for 231 yards, three touchdowns and an interception on Monday night.

A brilliant performance? No, but certainly a really good one, and unquestionably a massive step forward from his lifeless outings in Weeks 1 and 2.

So, has Trubisky finally broken through?

He still seems to be more of a game manager than anything else, but if he has performances like this, the Bears are going to be in good shape with that defense, and if Montgomery can develop into a stud in the backfield, that's even better.

Trubisky will certainly get tested this week, as the Vikings have a tough defense and will definitely be bringing the heat on the third-year signal-caller, so we will get to see if this Monday night outing was truly a breakthrough for Trubisky on Thursday.
