The Chicago Bears made some interesting decisions leading up to the NFL free agency period. However, all of those deals made sense financially for the franchise. On Monday, the front office made a huge decision regarding Larry Ogunjobi, as it sounds like Chicago has found their replacement for Eddie Goldman.
According to Brad Biggs, Larry Ogunjobi will be signing a three-year deal worth $40.5 million. It's a massive contract that secures Ogunjobi in with the starting defensive line. Things were looking a little bleak for Chicago for a moment, but the Bears put themselves in a great position to improve on defense next year.

For now, Eddie Goldman remains as a free agent, but he's sure to sign somewhere soon. Meanwhile, the Bears add Larry Ogunjobi to the mix, who proved to be an incredibly reliable defensive tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals. He now joins a team currently restructuring the roster, as Chicago aims to improve soon.
We'll see what other moves the Bears make in the offseason. It's expected they build the offense around Justin Fields, as he is the new face of the franchise. However, ensuring the defense improves is key, especially with the Green Bay Packers' offense shaping up to be one of the best in the league once again.
Keep a close eye on the Bears, as Chicago could aim to replace Khalil Mack in free agency as well. If the front office can do that, then the plan in the NFL Draft becomes clear. Offense, offense, and more offense.
