The Chicago Bears are one of the teams in the NFL who are trying to filter out their quarterback situation. Andy Dalton and Justin Fields are in the battle for the starting gig, and both played in the Bears preseason opener against the Miami Dolphins.

Dalton went 2-4 for 18 yards, while Fields played the majority of the game for the Bears. The Ohio State standout went 14-20 for 142 yards and a touchdown. Nonetheless, Bears head coach Matt Nagy hasn't made a decision yet and gave some interesting comments regarding the battle between the two, according to Adam Jahns of The Athletic.

“Whatever is best for the Chicago Bears is in the end what we’re going to do.”

That's the truth. Fields played well, and Dalton played well in very short usage, so clearly Nagy isn't rushing to a decision. But, he mentions that the Bears rookie understands the process of all of this as they have two more preseason games remaining.

“…Justin understands all of this…That’s what I love about him. He understands the plan, understands the process. They all do. And we asked him to go out and play well on game day, live. And he did.”

The Bears have their second preseason game against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday night, and both of the quarterbacks are going to do whatever it takes to take the upper leg on this quarterback battle.
