The Bears have added one of the league's best defensive players who will surely become a major factor on the defensive side of the ball for the franchise for the next seven years. He has established himself as a premier pass rusher, single-handedly impacting the game behind his ability to get to the quarterback. Chicago now has in place an anchor to their defense that should create havoc for them on a weekly basis.

In his first four years in the NFL, Mack has established himself as one of the top defensive players in the league. He is coming off yet another impressive campaign where he had a team-high 10.5 sacks, which made him the fifth player in Raiders history to record at least 10 sacks in three different seasons. His 40.5 sacks through his first four years are the third-most by a player over that stretch in Raiders’ history, and fifth-most all-time. In fact, he is the first player in the NFL to earn an All-Pro selection at two positions.

Mack's presence gives the Bears a centerpiece to their defense that should be a crucial part of helping the franchise contend for the playoffs this upcoming season in what has been a busy last several months, adding talent across the board. Beyond that, it is quite evident the Bears' last addition has already become a fan favorite.
