The Chicago Bears' kicking competition appears to be down to two with the team cutting Chris Blewitt, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The #Bears made a kicker move, waiving K Chris Blewitt. They still have Elliott Fry and Eddy Pineiro on their roster.

Blewitt showed some promise after a group tryout in March and was signed to compete for the starting job. Blewitt was very inconsistent through rookie camp and organized team activities, and the team decided that he was not going to get a chance to continue to prove why he deserves to be on the team.
Eddy Pineiro and Elliott Fry are the two players left on the team competing for the kicking job, but there is still a chance the team could go in a different direction if they struggle.
Article Continues BelowOn Tuesday Blewitt, Pineiro, and Fry all missed a kick from outside of 40 yards, and after practice, coach Matt Nagy made it clear he was frustrated.
“Whatever went through your mind went through my mind,” Nagy said of the three consecutive misses via the Chicago Tribune. “They went back-to-back-to-back and all three missed. So they are being evaluated not just by (the media), not just by me but by their teammates. Again, do you make it or do you miss it? We missed three today.”
The kicking position cost the Bears a playoff win last year, so they need to make sure they get this decision right. This is a team that can be competing for a Super Bowl this year, and the last thing they need to be worrying about is if a kicker will be making a short chip shot field goal to win a game.
