Chicago Bears right guard Kyle Long has been out for quite some time with a foot injury. Fortunately for the Bears they have been fantastic all season despite all of the injuries they have had to overcome. Head coach Matt Nagy is optimistic his offensive lineman will be out on the field in the near future.

Long has been a part of the Bears line for his entire career after being drafted back in 2013 with the 20th overall pick. Long is a three-time Pro Bowler and has been one of the few bright spots for the Bears since entering the league. Although this season the Bears have been very successful this season, things haven't always been so great for Chicago.

The offensive line has been great in protecting young quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, as well as the providing space for running backs Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen. The line will surely get stronger once Long returns.

Long has been a little banged up the last two seasons and was placed on the injured reserve toward the end of last season with a shoulder injury. It will be great for Chicago to get back out on the field and give the line a nice boost.

The Bears are returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2010 and with one the league's best defenses, Chicago may make a lot of noise going forward. The Bears defense has shown flashes from the fantastic 1985 team. If they can continue to shut opposing offenses down, the saying that ‘defenses win Championships' may remain to be true.
