Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is happy with the way the offense is performing and thinks the team is in a good rhythm. The first time the Bears played the Green Bay Packers this season their offense was not in any sort of flow.
Trubisky threw for 228 yards, but he couldn't find the end zone. The running game also couldn't get anything going with the leading rusher being Mike Davis, who finished with 19 yards.
The last couple of weeks Trubisky has been playing better, and the running game led by David Montgomery is finally getting there.
“We're kind of in a rhythm now; we're a different team,” Trubisky said, via Mark Potash of the Chicago Sun-Times. “There were some things we had to go through in the first game and the beginning of the season that just didn't go our way. And there's things we learned from as an offense.
“I just feel like we have a newfound identity of what we want to do, and everybody is really locked in to what they have to do.”
The Bears have won three games in a row and four of their last five and the main reason has been because of the offense. The defense overall has been strong this season but early in the season, the offense let them down.
The only issue for the Bears' offense getting on track might be a little too late. The Bears currently sit with a 7-6 record which is two games behind the Minnesota Vikings who sit in the last Wild Card spot. The Bears have to win on Sunday if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive.
