If you placed a bet on Mitchell Trubisky to win the MVP award this season, I've got some good news for you: you can get a refund.

Not that anyone actually bet on Trubisky to take home MVP honors (why on earth would you do that?), but Sportsbook is showing some sympathy for anyone who may have done so.

To say that the 2019 campaign has been a disaster for Trubisky would be putting it lightly.

In seven games this season, the third-year quarterback has thrown for 1,217 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions while completing 63 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 80.

It should be noted that back in Week 4, Trubisky suffered a dislocated left shoulder and a slight labrum tear during the Bears' win over the Minnesota Vikings and missed Chicago's Week 5 loss to the Oakland Raiders, but he was playing poorly even before the injury.

Trubisky, who played his collegiate football at the University of North Carolina, was originally selected by Chicago with the second overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft, eight spots ahead of Patrick Mahomes and 10 places before Deshaun Watson.

The 25-year-old struggled during his rookie campaign before showing some progress last season, throwing for 3,223 yards, 24 touchdowns and 12 picks while completing 66.6 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 95.4.

Many expected Trubisky to take a step forward this year, but instead, he has actually regressed, and the Bears' offense has suffered as a result.

Chicago has lost four games in a row and is just 3-5 through nine weeks.
