Even though quarterback Russell Wilson remains with the Seattle Seahawks, the rumors about a potential trade to another team continue to persist.

One of Wilson’s reported preferred trade destinations is the Chicago Bears, and the team has apparently made it a priority to try to get a deal done in the offseason. But how much of a priority is trading for Wilson for the Bears?

According to FOX Sports' Colin Cowherd, the Bears are ready to make an offer on the 32-year-old that is so good that the Seahawks would not be able to resist:

Cowherd said that the Seahawks ideally would not want to trade the eight-time Pro Bowler to another NFC team. He is also not exactly sure how the Bears would make that type of deal work, since they have no quarterback to give the Seahawks in return like the Los Angeles Rams did when they traded for former Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.

But the host tried to think of what a Godfather offer from the Bears would look like. Cowherd said the Bears could send five first-round picks to Seattle, plus a quarterback from another team to include in the offer.

He went on to say that the Bears’ first-rounders may not be great picks, but they are still valuable draft assets that other teams might not be willing to match. Regarding the signal-caller Chicago could include, Cowherd mentioned New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold as a possible target and pointed to his time with USC in college and Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll’s time coaching the Trojans as a connection.

But as NBC Sports Chicago's’ Michael Allardyce points out, NFL teams can only trade draft picks from the next three drafts, making the idea of the Bears giving up five first-rounders to the Seahawks unlikely. The only way it could happen is if Chicago also makes deals with other teams in order to get their first-round picks.

The details of this potential offer may not be clear, but this Russell Wilson situation continues to be intriguing.
