The Washington Redskins haven't favored very well in their Monday Night Football games through the years.
According to Dan Steinberg of The Washington Post, the Redskins have trailed by 19 or more points in four of those Monday contests at home since 2010. Showing no mercy, the Chicago Bears' defense came into their game against Washington wanting to continue that streak, led by Khalil Mack and Akiem Hicks up front.
This is the seventh time in the last decade a home team has trailed by at least 19 at halftime of a Monday Night Football game.

Even more concerning, the Redskins have dropped seven straight games on MNF, with their last victory being led by quarterback Colt McCoy against the Cowboys in 2014.

With the Bears defense hounding Case Keenum, one can only ask if the results would be different if Washington had their star linemen Trent Williams — who continues to hold out after months of wanting to be traded.
Regardless, the results are set. The Redskins will now look to bounce back when they face the New York Giants next week. Fans can do anything but be anxious though and hope Keenum sparks a change as they try to get their first win of the season.
