The Chicago Bears are having an excellent Thanksgiving Day, especially after they took down the Detroit Lions on the road to the tune of a 23-16 score on Thursday. As usual, the Bears’ defense made huge plays and delivered the goods for the team. That’s not all, though. Chicago’s stop unit also put on a show in the end zone by breaking out the Temptation Walk after Kyle Fuller intercepted a Matthew Stafford pass late in the contest.

The Bears have every reason to celebrate – at least today. By defeating the Lions, Chicago has improved its record to 8-3 to pad its lead atop the NFC North.

With journeyman quarterback Chase Daniels filling in for Mitchell Trubisky, who was declared out prior to the game due to a shoulder issue, the Bears enjoyed success against the Lions on both ends of the field. Daniels passed for 230 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions on 27-of-37 completions. On defense, the Bears picked Stafford, who was also sacked two times for a loss of 14 yards. Bears safety Eddie Jackson had the other interception, which he returned for a touchdown also during the final quarter.

The Bears entered the fourth quarter of the game staring at a four-point deficit, thanks to LeGarrette Blount’s two rushing touchdowns, but ended the game in a celebratory mood nonetheless.

The Bears will have the New York Giants next week in East Rutherford.
