The Chicago Bears are going to be entering an intriguing offseason with the season that they have had. After looking like one of the NFL's elite teams, they are now 6-6 entering Week 14 action. One of their biggest issues has been the play of starting quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, who has been incredibly inconsistent.

Some have gone so far as to say that the Bears should consider bringing in another quarterbacks. Names like Eli Manning, Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, and even Tom Brady have come up. There is another option for the Bears, which would be to take a quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Trubisky still deserves another shot in Chicago. Giving him that chance next season while having a rookie quarterback behind him on the depth chart would make a lot of sense.

There is one potential quarterback option that could be available to the Bears in the second round of the 2020 draft. Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts is without question a possibility should Chicago choose to go with a quarterback fairly early in the draft. He might very well be worth it.

Hurts has had a big season as the Sooners' starting quarterback. After transferring from Alabama, he has proven that he is worth being a second or third-round pick.

So far this season, Hurts has put up quality numbers. He has completed 71.9 percent of his pass attempts for 3,347 yards, 31 touchdowns, and six interceptions. In addition to his passing numbers, Hurts has racked up 1,217 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.

Matt Nagy is an offensive head coach and he had a great system in place last season. His system has not worked this season, but giving him a dual-threat quarterback like Hurts could be exactly what he needs. If Trubisky cannot make plays with his arm, the Bears should consider looking in a different direction.

Quite a few teams could use a young quarterback option like Hurts to groom behind their current starters. Teams like the Los Angeles Chargers, Tennessee Titans, and possibly the Indianapolis Colts would make sense. Chicago could use Hurts as their backup and a potential replacement for Trubisky if he continues struggling.

It will be interesting to see what the Bears end up doing this offseason. They are likely going to stick with Trubisky, but bringing in a backup plan would be a wise decision at this point in time.

All of that being said, the Bears need to figure things out in the near future. They have too talented of a roster to bank on Trubisky turning things around. Hopefully he is able to do so, but having Hurts on the roster would make a lot of sense to have a secondary option should things not work out.
