The Cleveland Browns are having an open practice Sunday morning, but judging on the fan turnout, it could very well be mistaken for a Week 1 game. According to Aditi Kinkhabwala of the NFL Network, an approximate total of 40,000 folks went to First Energy Stadium to see Baker Mayfield and company practice — a clear sign of the incredible electricity and excitement surrounding the Browns for the upcoming 2021 NFL season.
You think #Browns fans are really truly believing? Season tickets are completely sold out, the waitlist for season tickets is >5000 and very few single game tickets are available. Oh, and 40,000 people collected tickets for today’s open practice at First Energy Stadium. pic.twitter.com/pA8b78CKR0

Mayfield was just as astounded as everyone else on the Browns by the number of people who are spending their precious Sundays to watch them do drills in the flesh. The quarterback did not hesitate to address the crowd and show his appreciation for the support the Browns are getting from arguably the most loyal fanbase in all of pro sports.
Via Nare Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal:
#Browns QB Baker Mayfield to fans: I don't know anybody else in the country that would have this many fans at a practice, so we appreciate you guys. … We've been working, we're setting a new standard and these guys are ready to rock for you guys.
Coming into his fourth year in the NFL, Baker Mayfield is eager to steer the Browns to a deeper run in the playoffs than the one they had a season ago when Cleveland clinched a spot in the Wild Card round in the AFC with an 11-5 record.
With an incredibly talented cast of players on offense around Mayfield and a defense that is expected to make marked improvements, the Browns are a team that’s going to be a huge threat to the rest of the NFL this year.
