The Cleveland Browns are in a serious rut right now and head into Week 14 in desperate need of a victory. A big reason for their struggles has been Baker Mayfield, who is dealing with numerous injuries which have affected his play.

Well, the Browns signal-caller had a chance to regroup as the team had a bye in Week 13 and according to him, the recovery time was exactly what he needed. Via AP Sports:

“Quite a bit, to be honest with you,” Mayfield said when asked what the week did for him physically. “I haven’t had any major setbacks the past few weeks, and I had another week off so I’m looking forward to keep getting better as the weeks go on.”

Mayfield spent his week off in Arizona just letting his body heal. The Browns can move within one game of the division lead if they beat the Baltimore Ravens, who are currently in top spot.

The former Oklahoma standout has been criticized heavily over the last few weeks because of his poor performances. Mayfield is looking almost scared to throw the football but then again, he has a partially torn labrum, groin problems, and other injuries.

The Browns know what their QB is capable of, though. It also appears he's in the right mindset to come back this Sunday and dominate. That's exactly what Cleveland needs.
