The Cleveland Browns made a huge move on Wednesday, ensuring their offense with future success. After releasing Odell Beckham Jr., the Browns needed some good news to surface. Fortunately for them, the front office reached an extension deal with Pro Bowl guard Joel Bitonio.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Cleveland Browns have given Joel Bitonio a three-year extension. This is the second offensive lineman the front office has extended the past two days, “First Wyatt Teller, now Bitonio.”

Cleveland's general manager had high praise for Joel Bitonio, as he is clearly viewed as a major piece to the Browns offense, per Ian Rapoport.

General manager Andrew Berry went as far as to say that he hopes to see Bitonio in the Hall of Fame as a member of the Cleveland Browns.

“We are all excited about this extension and hopeful that at the end of his career we will be looking forward to celebrating Joel's gold jacket fitting in Canton.” – Andrew Berry.

High praise indeed. Joel Bitonio has been a monster for the Browns since his arrival in 2014. He's been a major contributor to the team's successful rushing attack and the team hopes that trend continues for years to come.

The Browns have invested a large sum into their offensive line. “It's hard to find great OL today and the Browns have a full starting lineup of them,” per Field Yates. Cleveland's offensive line is locked up for the next three to four years, giving this team consistency and an identity to lean on.

Football is a game in the trenches and the Browns have stacked their offensive line to the brim. With the roster stacked with so much talent, Cleveland should be able to remain competitive throughout the rest of the season. The AFC North is a wide-open race and this team is in the thick of it. Extending Joel Bitonio might be what this team needs to make that playoff push later in the year.
