The New Orleans Saints cut ties with former Pro Bowl offensive guard Larry Warford on Friday, and Warford figures to be one of the top names in the free agent market. The Cleveland Browns are among the teams that could be interested in signing Warford, per Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com:

“You can rest assured that GM Andrew Berry will leave no stone unturned in his bid to upgrade the talent on this roster, and Warford could probably be plugged in immediately as the starting right guard. Quite often, these things come down to money — right player at the right price. The Browns still have plenty of cap space to sign a mid-priced player such as Warford, and they’ll do it if it makes sense.”

Cleveland has already made a number of moves to improve the offensive line this offseason.

The Browns signed former All-Pro tackle Jack Conklin in free agency, and they drafted former Alabama tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. with their first-round selection.

As Kay Cabot noted, the Browns still have cap space, and should have plenty even after rookie signings. Cleveland still has over $38 million available, per Over The Cap.

Warford was named to the Pro Bowl in each of his last three seasons with the Saints. Warford's overall grade ranked 11th among all offensive guards in 2019, according to Pro Football Focus.

The onus for the Browns signing Warford is clear.

Cleveland is still building around quarterback Baker Mayfield, and adding Warford would solidify the offensive line as Mayfield looks to make strides in his third season.
