More facts are slowly starting to trickle out as the allegations against Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson continue to go through the legal process.
More recently, there was the revelation that Watson had paid a Houston spa owner $5,000 for helping set up his massage appointments.

Article Continues BelowNow another detail has come to light that the Browns QB had offered $100,000 to each of his 22 accusers in order to settle, via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk:
Here’s the quote, from footnote 2 to the petition filed against Watson by Nia Smith: “Of course, we now know that Deshaun Watson offered each Plaintiff $100,000 to settle their cases, but not all would accept that amount, due to the aggressive nondisclosure agreement that Watson’s team proposed.”
It was reported that 18 out of the 22 accusers were willing to take the $100,000 sum, but without the approval of the other four women they could not push through. The settlement offer was made even before joining the Browns, as it was reportedly during the lead up to the trade deadline in order to facilitate a trade to the Miami Dolphins.
The refusal of the four women stemmed from the language used in the NDA, which was said to have been specifically requested by the Dolphins before they were willing to accept a trade.
