The NFL offseason is in full swing right now and we're just getting started. Multiple franchises are searching for an upgrade at quarterback and the Cleveland Browns could be one of them. It's up in the air whether or not Baker Mayfield can lead this organization, but the front office could be looking to make a move soon.
According to ESPN, the Browns have, “definitely been doing due diligence on potentially available veterans.” A few names to watch for a Kirk Cousins, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Deshaun Watson. For now, it's speculated Cleveland is searching for a trade, but it is unclear what direction the front office goes at this time.
We'll see how it plays out, but to make a deal happen, the Browns will either have to include Baker Mayfield in the deal or trade him away in a separate transaction. “Mayfield's getting $18.858 million fully guaranteed this year,” per ESPN. With that in mind, this franchise will consider all options before making a final decision.

The young quarterback dealt with injuries throughout the season, which hindered his abilities greatly. A year to get healthy could be exactly what Baker Mayfield needs to get back on the path of success.
Regardless, the Browns must find a way to remain competitive in a tough AFC North division. With that said, keep a close eye on this franchise as Cleveland could make some surprising moves throughout the offseason.
