Nearly half of the league is rumored to be interested in Deshaun Watson. The Houston Texans quarterback is scheduled to meet with the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints on Monday. However, don't give up hope on the Cleveland Browns just yet. Rumors are, they're interested in trading for Watson as well.

According to Mary Kay Cabot, a potential trade package the Browns could put together for Deshaun Watson consists of, “multiple first-round picks, Baker Mayfield and maybe other players,” as well. That's quite a haul for the Texans, but considering the caliber of player Watson is, it might all be worth it in the end. Especially after Cleveland recently traded for Amari Cooper.

Watson of course has plenty of off-the-field issues as he still faces civil suits for his sexual assault allegations. The star quarterback is likely to face a suspension from the NFL as well. If the Browns trade for Deshaun Watson, not only would they have to give up numerous assets, but the offense would have to wait for multiple games before he returns to action.

All eyes are on Deshaun Watson right now. The Panthers and Saints are pegged as the favorites to land Watson via trade. However, other teams will show interest after Watson's name was cleared of any criminal charges. What makes this extremely difficult for the Browns is that the star quarterback has a no-trade clause in his contract. Even if Cleveland puts together a trade package the Texans like, Watson can say decline the trade and continue negotiations elsewhere.

Keep an eye on the Browns and Deshaun Watson, as you never know what could happen during the 2022 NFL offseason.
