There was a ton of hype surrounding Baker Mayfield as a top-tier option in fantasy football in 2019. Instead, the confident quarterback has struggled as the Browns have fallen to 1-2 to begin the season. With that in mind, what should we expect from Mayfield in Week 4 versus the Baltimore Ravens?
In the three games he has played this season, Mayfield's play has regressed from his rookie season. The second-year quarterback has combined for 805 yards, three touchdowns, and a league-high five interceptions.
With those numbers, the Browns franchise quarterback has just 34.1 fantasy points (25th among quarterbacks). Many people expected Mayfield to be a top-tier option at quarterback in fantasy this season. That's why plenty of people selected the fearless gunslinger early in fantasy drafts.
The Browns acquired Odell Beckham Jr. this offseason via trade. With OBJ joining the roster, there were lofty expectations for the Browns and Mayfield in 2019.
After three straight weeks of below-average fantasy output, it doesn't get any easier for Mayfield in the coming weeks. In Week 4, the Browns will face a Ravens team that has slowed down quarterbacks (outside of Patrick Mahomes) up to this point.
On Sunday night in Week 3, Mayfield had a chance to show he can deliver on the national stage against the Los Angeles Rams. However, the Oklahoma product was held in check for 195 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

Furthermore, it was the second game of this season in which the Browns quarterback posted fewer than 10 fantasy points. Now, this week he will face a Ravens defense that has surrendered just 17.5 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks in 2019.
Moreover, if you remove the game against Mahomes in Week 3, Baltimore has allowed nearly 12 fantasy points per game. As a result, Mayfield is likely poised to have another disappointing outing on Sunday.
The Browns have plenty of weapons on offense with Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, and Nick Chubb. At the same time, the Ravens have a bevy of talented defenders who can hinder Cleveland's offensive threats. Freddie Kitchens is going to have his hands full attacking this Baltimore defense.
Finally, with everything being said, expect Baker Mayfield to have a game where he throws for 230 yards, one touchdown, and another interception. Considering that, you may want to consider other quarterbacks to start in your lineups in Week 4.
