Good news for Cleveland Browns fans here, as Odell Beckham Jr.'s COVID-19 test results come back negative. The 27-year-old was sent home from practice on Thursday with what the team describes as nothing more than an “illness”, which led some to speculate that he may have contracted the coronavirus. Thankfully, it has now been confirmed that this is not the case.

This report comes via NFL.com's Tom Pelissero:

It is also worth noting that every single player and staff member was tested — as per protocol — and the results all came back negative. This means that the Browns can move forward with their preparations for their Week 6 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

The Browns were given a proper scare as they awaited for the results of Beckham's COVID-19 tests, which were taken on Thursday. Then again, he is not totally in the clear yet. It was not disclosed what specific illness the star wide receiver is dealing with, so he is still at risk of having to sit out Sunday's contest.

Cleveland has been on a roll of late, winning their last four games. Their record has remained immaculate ever since losing their opening week matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

Most recently, the Browns defeated the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5, 32-23. OBJ did not exactly have a tremendous performance in that one, though, going just 5-of-9 targets for a 58-yard gain. Then again, he still helped his side to a victory, and the Browns will hope that he's available for Sunday, as they look to extend their current win streak.
