The Dallas Cowboys are coming off their best offensive performance thus far this season as they put up 40 points in the win over the lowly San Francisco 49ers.

Although the Cowboys were firing on all cylinders offensively, the team did suffer a loss on Sunday with veteran kicker Dan Bailey going down with a groin injury. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Bailey will miss some time due to the injury.

After Bailey suffered the groin injury, the Cowboys were forced to turn to an unlikely source to fill the void left by their injured kicker. Safety Jeff Heath became the team's interim kicker and went 2-for-3 on his attempts for the rest of the game.

With Bailey potentially out for weeks, the search for his replacement has begun, via ESPN.

According to ESPN Insider Field Yates, the Cowboys will work out Mike Nugent, Jason Myers, Younghoe Koo and Sam Irwin-Hill.

The loss of Bailey is a sizable one as he'll be difficult to replace. Bailey's accuracy is second to none, and he's proven as much this season, via ESPN.

Bailey, the most accurate kicker in NFL history, has made all seven of his field goal attempts and all 16 extra points.

Following the win over the 49ers, the Cowboys are 3-3 on the season and continue to chase the division-leading Philadelphia Eagles (5-1). America's Team will have a crucial game ahead of them in Week 8 against the division rival Washington Redskins who are 3-2 ahead of their matchup with the Eagles on Monday Night Football.
