Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott now has a playoff win under his belt, and with that, he is taking his leadership role more seriously.

That's not to say that Prescott hadn't already been doing so, but he says he is now becoming more “stern” with his teammates:

“I've always been vocal,” Prescott said, according to Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News. “I can probably say this year I've been more stern. Not necessarily mean, but I expect a lot from these guys, especially guys that have been here. And I want them to expect the same from me. I'd be pissed if they weren't calling me out for it, if a guy blows a route or something like that. I'd be mad as hell if they don't call me out for it.”

Prescott is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he threw for 3,885 yards, 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions while completing 67.7 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 96.9 en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

Most importantly, he led the Cowboys to just their third playoff win since 1997 with a Wild Card Round victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

“With some guys, I'll be like, ‘What are you doing? Are you all right? What the hell is going on?” explained Prescott. “You don't do that. You're better than that.' It's simple as that. It's been great. Great response from it.”

Dallas won 10 games and captured the NFC East division title this past season and has fairly high expectations going into 2019, and Prescott is making sure everyone is held accountable as a result.
