Thew new-look Dallas Cowboys offense is ready to roll.
After a rather interesting offseason for the entire franchise (and the league), Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott is more than ready to lead his team as the 2020 NFL season fast approaches. Prescott will be at the helm of a new Dallas offense under the tutelage of newly acquired head coach Mike McCarthy.
The Cowboys also got a huge boost after they drafted young WR prospect CeeDee Lamb as their first round pick.
Lamb has been impressive so far in his first training camp, which has gained the confidence and respect of his QB.
“My confidence is to the roof with him,” Prescott said of the Cowboys' top rookie, per USA Today. “When he came in, I had high expectations for him because of the guy that I initially met in the offseason when we were throwing and when we were getting together. You could just tell the type of guy he is, the type of player, the type of competitor he is. So my expectations for him rose immediately from that meeting. To get into training camp, to see what he’s done, to see what he can do… I think he’s had as good a camp as anyone has, any position on this team. It’s exciting. As I said before, he’s going to play a huge role in our success, not only this year but in the future. I’m excited for it. Excited for him.”
Lamb, who was drafted in the first round as the Cowboys' 17th overall pick, is hoping to give Dallas a much needed boost offensively. He has also been enjoying his time with his new squad, even noting that having Prescott lead the way has been a huge for him.
“I’m enjoying it, man. His knowledge on the field is impeccable. Just going in there, knowing I can ask him anything and he’ll have the answer for me, that builds my confidence as a rookie WR and just as a WR in general.” Lamb said, per Jon Machota of The Athletic).
It's definitely an exciting time to be a Cowboys fan.
